Allegra is my first name, consecrated in the holy water and in the fear that I would pull the newborn leg, since I refused to immerse myself in the air of this world. I survived my birth and at that point my biographical story as Carola (Traverso) began, while I began to forget where I come from and who I am …

I grew up, I studied, I worked – for almost three decades as a journalist, for various newspapers, mainly Italian and in the meantime at the United Nations, as head of communication for the scientific organization that alerted the world about the Earth’s fever and then to a certain point I ended up in hospital and started taking care of health, integrated medicine, “end of life”, more and more looking after the existential-spiritual dimension of myself and other human beings.

And so, I matured and I began to grow old, to flourish and above all to remember the sacredness of life. When I am present to her, when I live, I am definitely more cheerful, Allegra, that what my name means! And along came the desire to take back the name chosen for me when my beautiful mother gave me birth.

Now I just dabbled in this little bI-oh! game with a lowercase b, to represent that these are the vicissitudes of “little me”, and that the initial A of my “new” name allows me to use it to symbolize my “Higher Self”, the one that comes from the stars … Oh! Also, in Italian A is the initial letter for love, Amore…
